There are three Denver Senior Coalitions:
  • East Coalition for Senior Services
  • Northwest Denver Council for Seniors
  • Southwest Coalition on Aging
Each Coalition holds separate monthly meetings except the last month of every quarter is a Joint Meeting where all three coalitions come together. Here is additional information:
  • More about the Three Denver Senior Coalitions
    The three Denver Senior Coalitions are networking organizations with members ranging from senior housing, home health industry, health and medical services, referral agencies, professional services such as legal and financial and other community based service organizations. Members include both individuals and companies and for-profit, non-profit and government agencies.
  • For 2012 Potential members can attend 1 meeting for each Coalition before making the decision to join.
  • Membership costs $60 per calendar year per each coalition.
  • About Meetings:
    At the monthly meetings be sure to bring plenty of business cards and brochures to hand out and use for networking. Beverages and continental breakfast is usually served by the location hosting the meeting.
  • Meetings Dates & Time:
    Regular Coalition meetings are held on different days of the month from 9:30AM to 11:30AM in Jan, Feb, April, May, July, August, Oct and Nov and the three coalitions meet on different days of the month.
  • Meeting Schedule for the Three Coalitions
    - East Coalition for Senior Services - 3rd Wednesday of the month
    - Northwest Denver Council for Seniors - 2nd Wednesday of the month
    - Southwest Coalition on Aging - 4th Tuesday of the month
    - Note that March, June, September and December are joint coalition meetings.
  • Joint Coalition Meetings:
    Joint Coalition Meetings are held four times a year usually on the 3rd Wednesday in March, June, September and December from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. The meeting locations vary from meeting to meeting. Note that the December meeting can change from the 3rd Wednesday and the December meeting is a holiday gathering.
  • Speakers & Presentations at Meetings:
    Senior service organizations, senior support companies, business professionals and other related groups are welcome to contact the Program Coordinators of each coalition and request to be a speaker. Note that panel discussions and other types of presentations are considered for the meetings. Speakers do not have to be members to make a presentation.
  • Meeting Location:
    Senior Housing locations and other businesses with meeting rooms are welcome to contact the Location Coordinators of each coalition and offer to host a meeting. Typically the location host provides refreshments.

    For general questions contact one of the officers of the coalition. Note that officers are listed on each of the coalition web pages.
  • Interested in Joining?
    Call or email a Membership or Secretary Coordinator for the group you want to join.
  • Coalition Member Benefits:
    As a member you can submit Professional and Consumer Events, Job Openings, Member News, and Sponsorship Opportunities for posting on the coalition website.
  • Access to the Membership List:
    As a member you are given a user name and password which gives you access to the membership list of the coalition you joined. If you join all three coalitions then you have access to all three membership lists.
  • Joint Coalition Assistance Fund (JCAF):
    The Joint Coalition Assistance Fund receives dues money from the 3 senior coalitions and awards it to those 55 years of age and older who need something to make their lives better. The Joint Coalition Assistance Fund Committee is responsible for reviewing and approving applications that members can submit for a senior in need.

  • Submitting Events & News:
    Posting of events and other updates occurs between the 25th and the last day of the month. Email Karin if you want to be included on an eNewsletter distribution list for events. This email comes from Constant Contact and SeniorsResourceGuide.com.

  • Professional & Consumer Events:
    Professional and Consumer events are posted on this website for members of all three coalitions. Consumer events are also listed on SeniorsResourceGuide.com
  • ADDED VALUE of Membership in the Coalitions:
    The Coalitions provide added value services for members such as posting of Professional & Consumer Events, News Announcements, and Job Openings. Your membership also gives you access to the membership list of the coalition(s) you joined. Our Event Listings and those on SeniorsResourceGuide.com include link out to your websites. Be sure to include your website address in your event submission.
  • SAVE-THE-DATE:
    We like to publish major events as much as 2 or 3 months out from the actual date. This gives search engines a chance to find your event.
  • Ongoing Events:
    If you have Ongoing Events they can be listed at the bottom of the Coalition Events web page. Active Minds for Seniors is one company with a link under Ongoing Events.

    The website is shared by all three coalitions. The monthly meetings are posted on this website along with events for senior professionals.     Our Event Listings, Sponsorship Opportunities and Member News announcements can include your domain name as an active link. Take advantage of this service to drive traffic to your website.
  • Submitting Professional and Consumer Events:
    Professional and Consumer Events are posted on DenverSeniorCoalitions.org and the Consumer events are automatically repeated on SeniorsResourceGuide.com Denver Directory as long as you meet the deadline of the 25th of the month for submission.
  • Job Opportunities:
    We post Job Opening Announcements for our members.

    These are local events that offer sponsorship and participation opportunities to promote services and branding of coalition members. If you are having an event and need sponsors or co-hosts send the name of your event, a 50-word paragraph describing the event, contact information and website link.
