    Speaker Topic: Having successful events is about having great ideas, developing those ideas with effective planning, being smart about timeline development, budget considerations and more.  Steven Stokes, Events Etc, will share some of his knowledge and give tips and tricks about being more successful while creating fun at all of the many opportunities you have during your year.  Over the past 17 years Steven has been a part of planning well over 500 events and has an idea for any concern your event (or your organization might be facing about events).  Please feel free to come with questions about your own programs; Steven would love to help you sort out some great solutions to your most challenging event situations!
     
    Speaker Bio: STEVEN STOKES is the owner of Events Etc. a Colorado based event-planning company, and is the Program Director of the Event Management Certificate Program at Arapahoe Community College where he has developed a yearlong certificate program in event management. Steven has over 17 years of event planning experience, and has planned well over 500 events in 125 cities in 9 countries. Steven’s past event experience includes work for Up with People, the Colorado Lottery, the Cherry Creek Arts Festival, the Paralpymic Games in Salt Lake City, and the City of Northglenn. Steven is a member of CASH – a Denver Based Leads Program, and is a past President of the Northglenn Thornton Rotary Club and the Colorado Festival and Events Association.  He is also a guest writer for the Colorado Meetings and Events Magazine.

    More about Events, Etc: Events, Etc. was started in 2007 as a family owned company, with Steven and his sister Sara Crowe. They plan non-profit fundraisers, community festivals, private parties and social events, and run seminars/classes for entrepreneurs. Steven lives in Colorado and recently married his best friend Shoshanna.

      Meetings are held the 3rd Wednesday of Jan, Feb, April, May, July, Aug, Oct and Nov from 9:30 am to 11:30 am at different locations around the Denver metro area.
      - Joint Coalition Meetings are held March, June, September and December.
    • Hosting a Meeting
      Contact the East Location Coordinator if you would like to host a coalition meeting.
    • Speakers for Networking Meetings
      Contact the East Programs Coordinator if you would like to be a speaker at a meeting on a topic relevant to the senior industry. Note that panel discussions and other types of presentations are considered for the networking meetings.
