A Message from our Joint Coalition Assistance Fund Committee
Applications are up! A sure sign that we are in the middle of Winter!
We were so glad to help some people who needed a little something to make life just a bit better.
- Living on Social Security Disability Income, an individual who had been enduring top dentures that did not fit, got new ones, what a relief that must have been!
- With no ability to purchase for themselves, two persons who needed eyeglasses (one of them suffering with cataracts) both were able to get new glasses. Many times before we have talked about the quality of life issue, eyeglasses are so very important.
- A lady with numerous health issues, on several prescription medications, suffering with depression, still had the desire to try to maintain control of her health needed a blood pressure cuff. We were able to get it for her.
- A recently widowed lady, overwhelmed in many areas of her life, now applying for Section 8 housing, we were able to help her situation with her current landlord, to get her by until her move.
- We purchased a stackable washer and dryer for a gentleman who had been doing his laundry in his bathtub because his washer was permanently broken, and he had no car to get to the Laundromat.
We thank you for all you do to help these fine people!
Regards, Your Joint Coalition Assistance Fund Committee
