Speakers: Brenda Crowe, Certified Respiratory Therapist
and Janet Kimmel, Manager of Non-Invasive Cardiology Services
Each speaker will talk for a half hour sharing the presentation.

Brenda Crowe will be speaking on "Make Every Breath Count"
Janet Kimmel will be speaking on "Cardiac Rehab and Heart Health"

About Brenda Crowe: Brenda Crowe is a Certified Respiratory Therapist graduating from T.H. Pickens Technical Center in 1986 and earned a Certificate in Gerontology from the University of Denver in 1993. Brenda has received the American Lung Association of Colorado Patient Education Award, for her dedicated support of COPD patients and their families, the “Jefferson County Public Health Champion Award” for her efforts helping to make Exempla Lutheran Medical Center a Tobacco Free Campus and the Colorado Society of Respiratory Care “John Wolfe Memorial Award” for her outstanding contribution to the awareness and prevention of respiratory disease. She is the current Chair of the Patient Chapter of the Colorado Society of Respiratory Care and coordinates 2 monthly support groups, the Mile High  Pulm Fibrosis Support Group and EZ Breathers. In August of 2011 Brenda celebrated 25 years at Lutheran Medical Center, where she is the manager of the pulm. rehab. dept.

About Janet Kimmel: Janet Kimmel is currently the manager of Cardiac Health and Rehabilitation, and Non-Invasive Cardiology at ELMC.  She has been with Exempla for 19 years and has been a nurse for over 30 years.  She has her BSN from Purdue University as well as her MBA in Healthcare Management and is a certified health coach.  She is and avid knitter and spinner and also loves traveling as well as hiking and being outdoors in Colorado.  She has one daughter who is currently a graduate student at Georgetown University in Washington DC.

• About Northwest Coalition Meetings
  Meetings are held the 2nd Wednesday of Jan, Feb, April, May, July, Aug, Oct and Nov from 9:30 am to 11:30 am at different locations around the Denver metro area.
  - Joint Coalition Meetings are held March, June, September and December.

• Hosting a Meeting
  Contact the Locations Coordinator if you would like to host a coalition meeting.

  Contact the Programs Coordinator if you would like to be a speaker at a meeting on a topic relevant to the senior industry. Note that panel discussions and other types of presentations are considered for the networking meetings.
