Joint Coalition Assistance Fund
For those of you new to the coalitions, Joint Coalition Assistance Fund receives dues money from the 3 senior coalitions and awards it to those 55 years of age and older who need something to make their lives better. Oftentimes paying rent, buying groceries and paying for medical care and prescriptions doesn't leave much left for items like eyeglasses, dentures, hearing aids, etc. It goes without saying that for those persons an emergency is devastating. JCAF is here to help. Started by Sister Georgeann Quinlin and others in 1982, any member of a coalition can fill out an application for an individual in need and then it is reviewed by the JCAF committee, generally answered within a week.
