Below we are sharing a memo from Colorado Department of Health Care Policy & Financing (HCPF). This Department administers Health First Colorado (Colorado’s Medicaid Program), Child Health Plan Plus and other programs for Coloradans who qualify. We are sharing this memo so you can see the depth of oversight that the State of Colorado provides for facilities and care providers, many of which are serving older adults. Read below to learn more about what is being done to protect our most vulnerable citizens in Colorado.

The Colorado Department of Health Care Policy & Financing (the Department) is working in coordination with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) to stop the spread of novel coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19). At this time, the Department strongly encourages providers to take emergency measures to screen members and consider restricting visitors at the following settings:

  • Brain Injury Supportive Living Programs
  • Day Habilitation
  • Day Treatment
  • Group Homes
  • Adult Day Centers
  • Residential and Inpatient Treatment
  • Partial Hospitalization Program
  • Day Treatment
  • Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) Centers
