DRMAC’s Regional Coordinating Council
Be a part of Denver Regional Mobility and Access Council’s (DRMAC) next Regional Coordinating Council meeting as we explore Transit Solutions Closer to Home. More and more we are thinking about transit differently and incorporating other options. These options are often those we may need in closer proximity to our home and get us to locations where we can access transit. These alternatives may be options we can use to help us get around in our local neighborhoods and communities. Guests include representatives from GoGoGrandparent, Lone Tree Link on Demand, Lyft, Smart Cities Alliance, and RTD FlexRide. Interested?

Social Infrastructure and the New Map of Life
The doubling of life expectancy in the US counts as one of the great achievements in human history, but it has come with such speed that social institutions, economic policies and social norms developed for lives that were half as long are no longer up for the task. Over the last several years, researchers at the Stanford Center on Longevity have been thinking through a New Map of Life that supports a longer lived society that is healthier, more productive and more equitable. September marks the release of the first report on the New Map of Life. Join Senator Bob Casey (D-PA), Chair of the Senate Aging Committee, Laura Carstensen, founding Director of the Stanford Center on Longevity, and other experts on September 22nd for a discussion of social infrastructure and the investments and policies beginning in early childhood that can contribute to a better, more robust life course.
