Workshop on Racial Equity and Aging From National Civic League
Improve the equity and inclusivity of your aging work and join this training!
The National Civic League, with the support of the Next50 Initiative, is hosting five virtual workshops for age-friendly communities and individuals working to improve aging in Colorado. Participants will learn strategies on how to incorporate equity and inclusion into their work and age-friendly plans, including how to inclusively engage older adults and how to apply an equity lens to aging work. This session is designed to deeply educate all participants on the institutional and systemic aspects of racism, and how to implement racial equity, not just “understand” it.

Hospital Affordability Policy & Community Investments
The Health Policy & Affordability Webinar Series is hosted by the Department of Health Care Policy & Financing to pull experts and stakeholders together to discuss emerging opportunities to reduce health care costs for Coloradans, employers and Medicaid. Come hear national and local experts discuss policy, as well as new and trending reporting on hospital affordability and community investment. This will include insights and opportunities voiced by the RAND Corporation, Colorado Center for Law and Policy, the Division of Insurance, the Department and the Colorado Hospital Association. The session will also include an active Q&A dialogue between panelists and attendees.

Service providers, Caregivers and Older Adults are invited to join us for the spring 2021 webinar series to learn strategies to improve Emotional and Mental Health and well-Being for Older Adults. Webinars are on Thursdays, from 2:00PM to 3:00PM (Mountain Time). This event is hosted by University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS), CU Anschutz Multidisciplinary Center on Aging and community partner Denver Public Library.
