A Reading of the U.S. Constitution with Boomers Leading Change
Please join us and your fellow Americans 4 p.m., Thursday, Oct 29, for a reading of the U.S. Constitution — a historic document that has survived and flourished for more than 230 years. As part of this participatory reading, we are recruiting individuals who are comfortable reading key selections of this historic document. Several of the key Articles and Amendments will be read aloud followed by discussion and a Q&A with a special guest to be announced in coming weeks! Come learn about this 4,400-word, four-page document which is the oldest and shortest written Constitution of any major government in the world.
Active Minds started in 2002 as a series of poetry classes in a church basement in Denver. Before long, it grew to include other courses focusing on contemporary global issues, historical themes, and other matters of importance.
Boomers Leading Change
We connect people to health resources. We help young children improve literacy. We advocate for health policy changes that help our community’s most vulnerable. No matter what area of our community we work in, we turn our life experience into meaningful impact in ways that matter.
