We are excited to announce that Senior Day at the Capitol 2019 has been rescheduled after the early March bomb cyclone cancelled our event in March. Apparently, Mother Nature had a better idea for the date than any of us. Our new date selected by the Board of Directors of Colorado Senior Lobby – with the best input we could get from Mother Nature – is April 24th. Why Attend? Meet legislators, elected officials, Senior Day Sponsors, learn about what is coming for older Coloradans in the next decade and potential impact on future legislation. We will be streaming Senior Day at the Capitol 2019 on Wednesday, April 24th starting at 9AM on our YouTube channel.

Intergenerational Engagement: The New 21st Century Skill
Location: Carla Madison Recreation Center
Address: 2401 E Colfax Ave, Denver, Colorado, 80206
Intergenerational engagement goes against the tide – age silos are the norm in American culture and society. This is reinforced by consumer marketing – clothing, social services, entertainment products and venues, housing/living styles, and evermore so in identity politics. How to step out of our comforting generational insulation? Can we suspend judgment for a time to 1) listen, 2) question, 3) challenge, and possibly 4) embrace other ideas, practices, attitudes and opinions? This session will explore the possibilities, and participants will take away new perspectives and tips for more fulfilling engagement.
